This is what illegal, unregulated, and poisonous mining looks like.  This is the current plague to the amazon and other rainforest.  The illicit industry also drives a host of humanitarian crises including slavery, sex trafficking, health related environmental justice, and indigenous rights violations.

Plastic straws have emerged as a deadly threat to marine life. It is already estimated that more than 500 million plastic straws are used each day all over the US. It is a bigger concern that most of these get dumped in the oceans that eventually float over the water and kill marine animals.

PLASTIC POLLUTION ON SEA BIRDS 😒

A lot of seabirds die because they eat plastic. They feed their chicks with the waste.  Seabirds are being highly exposed to plastics over recent years. The consumption of plastics is one of the serious issues in the world at the moment. A recent study has found that almost ninety percent of the birds are exposed to plastic consumption.

  And yes, humans are to blame this time. According to the first major review of their global status, Fireflies Face Triple Extinction Threat Worldwide due to habitat loss and exposure to pesticides.  Will fireflies now become just a memory from our childhood?  What we can do is Increase habitat, Turn off lights, stop pesticide use... save fireflies and their relatives and share this to Aware world.

STOP EATING THE PARROT FISH 🐟 !!!

Parrot fishes spend 90% of their day eating algae and dead coral. They clean our reefs. This makes them an important part of our ecosystem. Most of the reefs across the tropics are full of algae due to overfishing of the parrot fish and other herbivores. The parrot fish also poops up to 700 pounds of fine white sand annually. Their existence is essential so avoid eating them. Educate your friends and family to raise awareness. Say no to catching parrot fishes. Don't purchase them from the markets.

CLIMATE CHANGE THREATS TO GREAT BARRIER REEF 

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most stunning natural wonders on the planet. A report quietly published by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority has found that coral bleaching affected 91% of reefs surveyed along the Great Barrier Reef this year. This is further evidence of the heartbreaking affects of climate change on our marine environment.  #climatechange #greatbarrierreef
